A UX Designer with a background in Journalism
Get in touch
Hi, I'm Arpita — a former journalist turned UX designer, passionate about solving real problems through human-centered design.
I spent six years as a news reporter in India, covering politics, education, and everyday life. My favorite news stories were always the ones that helped people — uncovering challenges, giving them a voice, and sparking change. That mission still drives me today, now through design.
My transition into UX came naturally through my curiosity and love for understanding people. I bring strong storytelling, research, and empathy skills from journalism into my design practice — helping me dig deep into user needs and craft meaningful, intuitive solutions that also support business growth.
I thrive in collaborative environments where experimentation is encouraged and design is valued as a strategic tool. I'm especially excited by projects that create both user and business impact, improve accessibility, or make everyday experiences simpler and more inclusive.
Outside of design, you'll usually find me gardening, reading, or exploring design trends and tools.
Let's connect — I'm always happy to collaborate or chat design.
