Over the course of a two-year graduate program at J. P. Morgan, I gained hands-on experience working on two distinct products, developing skills in both UX design and user research. This experience allowed me to contribute across the full design and research spectrum, shaping products that effectively meet user needs and business goals.
In my current role as a user researcher, I engage regularly with users to understand their behaviors, needs, and pain points. By conducting user interviews, usability testing, and other qualitative research methods, I collect actionable insights that directly influence product development. I am involved end-to-end in the research process—from planning studies and recruiting participants to analyzing data and creating the report. This continuous user engagement has been critical in shaping product features that align with both user expectations and business objectives.
Earlier in the program, I worked as a UX designer on a public-facing product where I focused on enhancing the overall user experience. Collaborating with the product team and visual designers, I contributed to creating intuitive design. My design efforts addressed key user pain points and helped improve the usability and accessibility of the product. This collaborative approach ensured that our solutions were not only user-centered but also aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
Throughout the program, I worked cross-functionally with product managers, developers, and visual designers, gaining a holistic understanding of the product lifecycle. I applied design thinking principles to solve complex user problems. This experience strengthened my ability to balance user needs with technical constraints and business priorities.
This graduate program has been instrumental in shaping my approach to UX design and research. By working across diverse projects and methodologies, I have developed a versatile skill set and a deep commitment to creating meaningful, user-centered experiences. Moving forward, I am excited to continue leveraging my research-driven design approach to build products that truly make an impact.
